I have had the opportunity to be “a guest – the hired videographer” at so many awesome venues all around Dallas And I also understand that looking for a videographer is one of the last things you do when planning a wedding. But just in case you come across this I the early planning stages – boy do I have some insight into some of the greatest venues Dallas has to offer. I am partial to the western/cowboy boots and hats type of wedding- if you are looking for the traditional church wedding well this won’t help you mich
I have 6 venues that I recommended – some have their own charm and are a little better in this area or that – but if you choose any of these you and all your guests will be very pleased and amazed
The springs in Aubrey
Wow what a great venue. Far north of dfw – you will pass pastures of cows and horse breeders- and then bam! A great rustic place- well equipped to handle small and large weddings- with a great place in the back to have the ceremony in the woods- and great building to have the perfect reception.
This place is another charm nestled in the back country of North DFW
“Located in the rural countryside of McKinney, Texas, this secluded 200 private acre facility offers the ideal destination for casual rustic weddings and relaxing corporate events. We know you’ll have a uniquely beautiful experience here like no other venue can provide. For many years we have hosted weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties and special occasions unmatched in privacy, beauty, serenity and romance.”
Bella Donna Chapel
This is a chapel located right in the middle of Mckinney, and it is only a venue for the ceremony . . .So you will have to have the guests all leave this location and go to the final reception . . But what beautiful Place – located lakeside in the Stonebridge Ranch – it has a definite European Medieval feel, and is soo beautiful
3 Rs Ranch
Here is a cowboy boot / hat venue Texas style if I ever saw one “3R’s Ranch is an ideal venue for the ranch style wedding. It was converted from a fully functional horse arena. While it still has its barn style charm it was upgraded in order to house events. The major changes added were concrete floors, restrooms, tv’s, a stage, and a bar area. It still has stalls that can be used for a photo booth and a long hallway with stalls on either side for a wonderful wedding photo opportunity. ”
One of my person favorites – Just east of Lake Lavon “The 1899 Farmhouse is a DFW wedding venue for rustic, country, or vintage wedding ceremonies and receptions serving North Texas and the greater Dallas / Fort Worth areas. The 1899 Farmhouse is nestled among 11 beautiful acres near DFW with over 150 pecan trees, a historic house built in 1899 from McKinney, and a secluded peaceful setting. The venue offers a lovely bridal suite in the charm of the farmhouse as well as a spacious man cave for the groom. There are several outdoor ceremony sites to choose from and your vendors are welcomed. We are in our 8th year as a venue, with our family serving yours. Our wedding venue is accessible from McKinney, Allen, Anna, Celina, Fairview, Frisco, Garland, Greenville, Lewisville, Little Elm, Lucas, Melissa, Mesquite, Parker, Plano, Princeton, Prosper, Richardson, Rockwall, Sherman and Wylie.
Lantana Resort and Marina
Lantana Resort is a year-round facility located on beautiful Lake Ray Roberts, just two miles west of Pilot Point, Texas.
The lodge is situated on a high ridge in Jordan State Park. This 500-acre park contains breath taking views of the 30,000 acre lake, pristine forest and “Lost Lake” a hidden lake. Unmatched natural scenery and dozens of activities in every season make for a truly unique atmosphere.
